About the iBGStar®
Meter Display
The iBGStar meter display has a variety of symbols and animations
that help you understand what is happening and what to do next when checking your
blood sugar. This guide will give you an overview of what the different symbols
mean and what you should do when encountering them.
Glucose Result
Units of Measurement
(scrolls across display) Results will be displayed in mg/dL.
Time
(scrolls across display) Syncing will configure the time format (12 or 24 Hour) to match the settings on your iPhone® or iPod touch®.
Date
(scrolls across display) Syncing will configure the date format (MM/DD/YY or DD/MM/YY) to match the settings on your iPhone or iPod touch.
Control Solution Symbol
Appears to the right of control solution results.
Apply Sample to Test Strip
During monitoring, an animation of a sample being applied to the test strip will appear on the iBGStar display to signal you to apply a sample (control solution or blood) to the test strip.
Sample Applied Symbol
During monitoring, this symbol will appear (for 1 second) when enough control solution or blood has been applied to the test strip. You should remove the test strip from the control solution or blood sample.
Calculating Animation
(1, 2, 3 countdown) During monitoring, an animated sequence of bars and 1,2,3 will appear on the iBGStar display after a sample has been applied to the test strip and the iBGStar is calculating the result.
iBGStar Animation
An animation of the iBGStar logo will appear when the iBGStar is turned on by pressing the iBGStar button or inserting a test strip (except when connected to your iPhone or iPod touch with the app launched).
Battery Status
(If 50% charged or less) If the battery is 50% charged or less, the Battery Status symbol appears at the end of the iBGStar animation for 1 second. In addition, the numerical percentage charged will be shown to the left of the Battery Status symbol.
Battery Status
Shows the amount of power in the iBGStar's battery.
Charging Battery Symbol
Appears to the left of the Battery Status symbol when the iBGStar's battery is being charged.
